I originally hail from Florence, Italy. I received my Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2014. During my pre- and post-doctoral training I worked at several universities in Italy and in the United States, including at Duke University and University of California San Diego.

In 2019, I moved from academia to industry taking on a role as a Quantitative Researcher with Facebook – currently Meta Platforms, Inc – in Menlo Park, CA. I am currently working in the WhatsApp consumer product division.
